Principal’s Corner

Mrs. Latorre began her career as a classroom teacher before joining P.S. 65, where she served as Assistant Principal for nine years and now proudly leads as Principal. She embraces an open door policy and a strong belief in collaboration among staff, families, and students. Under her leadership, P.S. 65 is focused on strengthening Tier 1 instruction, aligning MTSS/WIN supports, and using real-time data to drive purposeful planning and student growth. These efforts have led to steady gains in Grades 3–5 state test results, highlighting the school’s progress in accelerating student achievement. Known for her dedication and love of Halloween, she is committed to fostering a joyful, rigorous, and supportive school environment where all children can thrive.
